About us
Fence Plinths has been in the trade for more than 15 years. We supply concrete sleepers, under-fence plinths and hot-dip galvanised steel posts for retaining walls and fence lines, to trade and retail customers. Every order goes out from our yard on Old Port Wakefield Road at Virginia, north of Adelaide.
What we do
We supply the materials. Our range is listed on this site with its price, so you can see what a job costs before you pick up the phone. We deliver on our own trucks, or you can collect from the yard.
We don't install and we don't design walls. For installation we refer you to contractors we work with in the Adelaide area, and they quote the labour directly with you. For engineering we can put you in touch with an independent structural engineer, who sets their own fees.

What we supply
- Silvercrete sleepers and plinths. Comet, Galaxy, Saturn, Titan, Neptune, Asteroid, Nova and Pluto sleepers, and Comet, Galaxy, Neptune and Titan under-fence plinths.
- Outback Sleepers. Ashwood, Blackwood, Cove, Kensington, Lonsdale and McLaren sleepers and step kits, Slate and Wood sleepers, step treads, Blackwood and Lonsdale under-fence plinths, and concrete wheel stops.
- Galvanised steel posts. UB, UC and PFC sections, hot-dip galvanised and supplied cut to length, with welded PFC corners.
- Adbri bagged cement and concrete. Cement, premium cement, concrete, high-strength concrete and Speed Set.
- Seconds. Graded-out sleepers from our suppliers, sold as clearance stock, for walls up to 800 mm retained height. Read how seconds work before you buy them.
How we work
- Pricing. Product prices are ex GST. Orders of 20 or more units get 5% off, 50 or more 10%, and 100 or more 15%, seconds included. Quantity breaks don't combine with trade pricing; you get the better of the two.
- Payment. Card or bank transfer, paid upfront unless you're on trade terms. Welded steel and cut concrete are always paid in advance. Cash on delivery is by prior arrangement only.
- Cutting. Steel is supplied cut to length, and we can cut sleepers and cribs to length for a per-cut charge. Cut, welded and fabricated items can't be cancelled once work starts.
- Trade accounts. Offered on application, with terms and a credit limit set case by case, subject to a credit check. About trade accounts.
- Delivery. Priced by freight zone and booked ahead. See Delivery & Freight.
- Returns. Change-of-mind returns within 14 days on unused, resaleable stock, with some exclusions. Faulty goods are covered by the Australian Consumer Law. Read the returns FAQ.
